There is a rogue group of copyright infringers who have stolen a much earlier version of my data - from at least 10 years ago - and have the affrontery to publish that, along with using my name, on their poorly researched website. They claim this is the 'original' Kracker Archive, a ridiculous claim since my Archive has been in a state of continuous development for over 30 years and nobody - NOBODY - has the original. They have no right to use my name or my data and readers who come across this nonsense should do nothing to encourage theft of this nature. I am outraged by this blatant theft and misrepresentation of my lifetime's work. The ONLY person I have ever authorized to publish my data and use my name is Kelvin Youngs, who earned my trust and respect many years ago and is authorized by me to publish my work on whichever website he organizes, currently this being its present home at the highly respected Aircrew Remembered.

WIA 14 January 1945, shot down over the Saar region. Kunz survived the war and remained friends with Walter Schuck. (LOCS suggests he later died of his wounds!). Shot down by AA fire in "White 18" during Operation Bodenplatte. He made a belly landing at Idar-Oberstein, pilot OK (Manrho/Just publ.). His first known victory, a Soviet Hurricane 30 km E of Murmansk on 17 May, 1942. A Soviet Hurricane on 2 September, 1942. A LaGG-3 on 5 November, 1942. A LaGG-3 on 24 January, 1943. A P-39 and a Pe-2 on 13 March, 1943. A Yak-7 W of Fischer-Halbinsel on 13 March, 1944. Two P-40s, one at Fischer Halbinsel & one SE of Maida; two P-39s NE of Berlevaag, on 23 April, 1944. US POW at wars end. One known victory, a B-17 on 14 January, 1945. He rammed this B-17 with his A-8. The B-17 was either "Little Butch II, # 42-31744, 390BG/568BS piloted by 1/Lt Walter Wiegand, or "Preferred Risk" #42-102673, 390BG/571BS piloted by 1/Lt Joseph W. Lewis. During the ramming, his canopy was torn off and he bailed with P-51s in hot pursuit. He opened his chute late, landing near a farmer. 200 meters from him, landed Uffz "Pimpf" Erhard with a knee wound. On this same day, Kuring lost two other friends, Ofhr Hans Damran died in his chute from a stomach wound. Ofhr Lüdecke thought to have died in an explosion when he rammed a B-17. Alternate spelling: Kuering. Deceased 17 December, 2010 (P. Bastin).

Bomber Operational Clasp
KIC 25 March, 1943 when chased by a Beaufighter of RAF No. 219 Sq., this AC struck the hillside at Linhope Rigg after circling Powburn with engines running rough. An examination of the wreckage indicated the AC was flying somewhat level when it hit the ground. There was no fire. Remaining crew (all KIC): Uffz Walter Schulz, Observer; Ofw Karl Kleih, wireless operator, EK 1; and Gefr Werner Fiedler, gunner. All the crew were killed in the crash and were later buried at Chevington Cemetery, near Broomhill, Northumberland. Crashed his Wk# 7076 at Montdesir 30 August, 1940 during landing due to undercarriage failure, crew OK (Ju 88 Loss List). Added: Burials at Chevington, Sec H: Ofw Lang, Gr 18; Uffz Schulz, Gr 62; Ofw Kleih, Gr 27 and Gefr Fiedler, Gr 63 (D.Drury).

Lemmer buried at CC, Plot 6, Row 7, Gr 159 (D.Drury). His first known victory, a Hurricane W of Portland on 15 August, 1940 (the day before his death).

His 5th, making him a Ace, a Gladiator by Förnebu Denmark on 9 April, 1940. He is known to have crash-landed his Bf 110C after this victory. Two early 6/NJG-1 victories, both Wellingtons, one at Süderstapel, the other into the North Sea, the night of 11-12 May, 1941. Two Stirlings the night of 29-30 June, 1941. Two Wellingtons over Friesland the night of 7-8 September, 1941. A Wellington and a Hampden on 13 October, 1941. A Wellington the night of 8-9 November, 1941, no location. A Hampden I of RAF No. 455 Sq. into the sea 70 km west of Terschelling the night of 6 February, 1942. 50th victory on 8 January, 1943. A triple victory on 16 June, 1944; all "4 mots", one SW of Lille, the other two in the Bethune area. Severely injured in a flying accident, 5 Oct. 1944, (DOW 7 October, 1944); crashed on landing due to engine failure and colliding with high tension wires in his Ju 88G-6 at Paderborn. Also killed were his R/O, Ofw Walter Kubisch, Oblt Hermann Klöss (Observer?) and Lt Werner Kark(Correspondent). Uninjured in an emergency landing on 3 August, 1943 at Vester Marie Denmark, on the Isalnd of Bornholm, during the defense of a Berlin Raid. He had become disorientated during a thunderstorm on the return to Schleswig. One of the three man crew was slightly injured. Remaining crew: Uffz Walter Priessler, R/O and Uffz Franz Lange, Mech (Source: Air War over Denmark). Two known victories, a Halifax 300 m W of the Westerland airfield, and a "4 mot Flzg." 80 km W of St. Peter on 17 August, 1943. A 3rd, 4th & 5th, all "4 mots" in the Giessen area on 6 December, 1944. On 12 December, 1944, Liersch and his crew were killed in a crash west of Gundersheim due to engine failure. With damage to the tail and the left wing, Loseke managed to reach the Swedish coast with only meters of altitude, and made a perfect emergency landing at the Torslanda Airport outside of Gothenburg Sweden on 8 May, 1945. Remaining crew: Lt Albert Zepf, Uffz Christian Timm, Co-pilot, Ogefr Alois Bauer, Ogefr Eduard Schott, Uffz Paul Schweitzer, and Uffz Walter Träger. Lt Zepf may have been the Co-pilot, but was not identified as such by the author. Another report suggests that one of the crew fired the damaging shots in an act of mutiny, and may have been thrown out in mid-air. No confirmation on this story. KIA 27 September, 1940 in Wk# 3378 during the attack on the Parnall AC Plant near Bristol England. His RO, Uffz Anton Schön (geb 5/22/1918, believed to be RK Holder) was also killed. Attacked and badly damaged by several fighters, he is believed to have been the victim of F/Lt A.H.Rook in a Hurricane of RAF No.504 Sq.. In a Battle of Britain book, it said his AC was last seen "in a death spiral". The AC crashed at Busseys Stool Farm, Tarrant Gunville, Dorset at noon. Both Lutz & Schön are buried at CC, Block 8, Row 2, Gr 31 & 32 respectively. He replaced Rubensdörffer as Kdr ERG -210 after Rubensdörffer was shot down during the Battle of Britain. POW 3 September, 1940; While on a Do 17 escort mission, he was attacked by a Hurricane of No.46 Sq., piloted by SubLt Jack Carpenter. Manhart made a force landing in a woods at Mundon, south of Marlow, Essex. He and Uffz Werner Drews (WIA) were both captured. Manhart escaped from Gravenhurst POW Camp (Canada), and was believed to have drowned. He had not, and entered into America, marrying an American, and gave himself up in 1952. Alternate spelling: Manhard (Bf 110 Loss List & D.Drury).

His 4th, a Spitfire west of Lille on 21 July, 1941.
797 März, WalterGefr6/ZG-76 (Jever Fliegerhorst) Bf 110C-7 Werk # 3646 "M8 + MP" (lost 11/22/40) Destroyer Operational Clasp KIA 22 November, 1940; believed to have crashed into the North Sea near Jever, Friesland, Lower Saxony. His unnamed crewmember also KIA (Bf 110 Loss List). Added: His R/O-Gnr named StbsFw Alfred Kuhne. The VDK lists a Gefr Walter Maerz, died 29 November, 1940, but lists no location. He is buried in the War Cem at Wilhelmshaven-Ehrenfriedhof, Blk Ea, Gr 176. Speculation: it may have taken a week for his body to wash ashore; the War Cem at Wilhelmshaven was less than 20km from Jever (D.Drury). Altho not conclusive, I believe Gefr Maerz to be Gefr März. Alternate spelling: Maerz.

His 1st known Soviet victory, a TB-3 on 17 July, 1941, while in 9/JG-27. WIA 31 August, 1943 in "Black 1", force landed after B-17 return fire at Montdidier. 400+ combat missions. 14 bombers. Opposed the 6 March, 1944 Berlin Raid while in II/JG-26. One known bomber, a B-17 "Fast Woman" of 351BG, 508BS flown by Lt William A. Suit on 19 August, 1943, 3 km northwest of Dunkirk. It crashed at St Omer. His 6th, a Spitfire IX 3 km NNW of Le Crotoy on 15 July, 1943. Another victory, a B-24 on 30 December, 1943, 15 km northwest of Soissons. His 13th (JG-26s 2000 victory) a B-24 at Rastorf on 24 February, 1944. His 20th, a P-47 SE of Rockenhausen on 13 April, 1944. His 25th, a P-47 at Mantes-Houdan on 20 August, 1944. 3 victories in the East. On 20 October, 1944, he downed a P-38 (possibly Jim Edmondson) east of Cologne. A P-47 SW of Düren on 19 November, 1944.
